Della Murl Dornon, 55 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born Dec. 11, 1960 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Alden Andrew Ayers, Sr. and Belva Olive Barker Ayers. Della was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of the Spreading Truth Ministries. She enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, the outdoors, flower gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two children, Eric Dornon (Brandy Midcap) and Shannon Dornon both of Parkersburg; two brothers, Ricky D. Ayers of Belpre, Ohio, and Alden Ayers, Jr. of Parkersburg; two sisters, Nyoka Jean Brooks of Parkersburg and Eileen Kelley of Davisville, W.Va.; and five grandchildren, Kammi Jade, Koby Hunter, Owen James, Rylee Paige and Cohlton James. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dornon; two sisters, Debbie Ayers and Twila Gabbert; and a brother, Leroy Ayers. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wed., Oct. 19, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Ralph Tisdale officiating. Interment will follow at the Reeder Cemetery in Mineral Wells, W.Va. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until time of services Wed. at the funeral home.
