Delbert “Buck” Stephens, 80, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away June 6, 2014.He was born August 29, 1933 in Mineral Wells, a son of the late Luther and Belvia Goudy Stephens.Buck formerly worked at A.& P. in Parkersburg and for Frito-Lay. He retired after 26 years as Vice-President of sales for Mr. Bee Potato Chip Company in Parkersburg.Buck enjoyed bowling and playing checkers and was formerly the West Virginia State Checker Champion.He is survived by his daughter, Angela Lohoefener of Parkersburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Philip Nicholson (Connie), Greg Nicholson (Sheryl), Michael Nicholson (Chasity), Kevin Lohoefener (Andrea), Andrea Lohoefener, and Stacy Nichols (Cory); and several great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Stephens of Canton, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews, including his niece and caregiver, Barbara Hunt.In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Mills Stephens; one daughter, Dianne Hardman; one grandson, Delbert Wayne Nicholson; four sisters and two brothers.A funeral service for Buck will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg with his great-nephew, Pastor Rick Eaton officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
