Delbert Olin Shepard

Delbert O. Shepard, 90, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away August 1, 2016 at Cedar Grove Assisted Living. He was born June 1, 1926 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Orel and Oma Congelton Shepard. Delbert formerly worked at the American Viscose Company and retired from Borg Warner Chemical. He enjoyed NASCAR and The Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his wife, Marie Adams Shepard, They would have celebrated seventy years of marriage on September 3, 2016; one daughter, Janet Kerr (Roger) of Rockport, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Scott Kerr (Kayla), Amanda Windland (James) and Jessica Lawrance (JP.); two great-grandchildren, Riley Windland and Morgan Lawrance; and one brother, Larry Shepard (Judy) of Parkersburg; In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Orel (Junior), Robert and Glen;and three sisters, Louise, Gloradean and Phyllis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Joe Busch officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
