Dedra Dianna Hornbeck 56, of Vienna, passed away August 31, 2016 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg. She was born September 17, 1959 in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the daughter of the Charles Gibson of Florida and the late Dottye Butterfield Gibson. Dedra worked in the Medical Field as a Nurse. She loved being a mother, grandmother and wife. Her family was her passion and joy. She loved spending time with her family whether it be holiday's with the friends and family or beating her son in front yard basketball. Dedra loved the ocean, she would often speak of growing up in Florida, and being close to the a beach and ocean which cultivated her love. She loved nature, and being a part of it. She loved the shade of the trees, and the way light would shine through them and the serenity of just sitting in the sun. She loved sunrises, sunsets, and the peace and beauty that it offers.” It was that love that was reflected in her natural talent for art”. She loved art, and could draw with ease, from portraits and pictures, to oceans and palm trees, she would make it look so easy. All of these things she loved, brought her joy, and would always be recognized by the constant smiles and laughter, that will never be forgotten. In addition to her father she is survived by her husband, Richard Hornbeck; one daughter, Desiree Cox of Belpre, Ohio; one son, Nakia “Nick” Ceglar (Kelly) of Washington Bottom; Grandchildren, Jordan Ceglar, Chandler Cox, Preston Ceglar and Carter Cox; sisters, Trish Commons (Rick) of Florida and Lisa Gibson of Washington State; brothers, Michael Gibson of Florida, Terry Gibson (Judy) of New Mexico and Buddy Gibson also of Florida. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her baby brother, Mark, brother, Scott and sister, Lavenda. Services for Dedra will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna with speaker Rhonda Staats officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
