Debra Kaye Hungate

Debra Kaye Hungate, 68, of Vienna, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born August 5, 1955 in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Paul A. and Mary Fry Rickard.

Debra retired as a Finance Supervisor for the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department in 2020 and prior to that she was a controller for Healthsouth. Debra was a member of Williamstown Church of God. One of Deb’s last conscious moments, a friend asked her how she was feeling and she said “never better.” She truly is “never better” now.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 48 years, David Hungate; her daughter, Michelle Atkinson (Eddie) of Vienna; her son, Joseph Hungate (Amanda) of Little Hocking, OH; grandchildren, Kristin, Micah, and Caleb Atkinson; and Cole and Magnolia Hungate.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon F. Rickard Girton.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Rev. Eddie Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Baptist Cemetery, Mason County. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the funeral home from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
