Debra Jean Cottle

January 25, 1959 — July 18, 2024

Debra Jean Cottle, 65, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, after fighting  a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 25, 1959 in Parkersburg, a daughter to the late Shelby Taylor and Charles L. Cottle.

She was a very hard worker at the Der Dog Haus for many years, she enjoyed cooking, and many would say she was quite good at it. She lived a beautiful life and was a very intelligent woman. She enjoyed plants and flowers, going outdoors on a warm sunny day, and a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was a very funny woman, with a contagious laugh, she was sunshine on a rainy day, and she loved her family and friends deeply.  Music was one of her favorite things, especially, The Rolling Stones.

Left to cherish Debra’s memory is her daughter, Shelley Cottle Deem; granddaughter, Shyla Tant; great-grandson, Caleb I. Deem; sister, Catherine Cottle; brothers, Charles Cottle Jr., Randy Taylor (Becky), and Ronnie Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was met at the gates of heaven by her loving grandson Caleb M. Deem.

She was one of the toughest women you could ever meet and will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.
