David Michael Moore, 61, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2017. His infectious laugh and smile will be missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know him. David was born in Clarksburg, W.Va. graduating from Victory High School. He attended WVU with studies in engineering. He was employed by Parkersburg Office Supply as an office designer salesman. His true passion though was his job at Timberline Ski Resort where he worked as a ski instructor every weekend for the last thirty years. His love for the outdoors also found him riding bike trails in Canaan Valley and at Mountwood Park. David was preceded in death by his parents John H. Ash and Emilia(Romain)Ash. He is survived by his wife, Brenda S. Moore; four children, Terri Cummons, Neil Cummons, Trudi Shockey and Tiffany Han; five grandchildren, Geneva Bautch, Jacob Shockey, Katelyn Shockey, Abigail and Eleanor Han; and one great-grandaughter; brothers, Doug, Jim and Johnny Ash; sister, Dianne Riffee and her husband, Dave and their two children, Melissa and DJ who were very special to him. David graciously decided to donate his body to WVU Gift of Life in Morgantown and in keeping with his wishes no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in David's honor.
