David Thomas Mcgrail

David Thomas McGrail, 76, of Parkersburg, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born February 15, 1943, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Jack G. and Betty Lapp McGrail. David worked at Marbon / Borg Warner/ G. E. Plastics as a Senior Research Chemist and was active in the Borg Warner Museum Inc. as Treasurer. He loved collecting antiques, golfing and animals. David was United Methodist by faith. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith A. Knollinger McGrail; two sons, David W. McGrail of Memphis, TN and Brian T. McGrail of Louisville, KY; sister, Judy Kaiser (David) of Denver, Colorado; a special friend who was like a daughter, Karen McGrail of Vienna; five grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Justin, Brianna and Alexandra; his dog, Lovey and his cat, snowball. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Mark McGrail. Funeral services will be held at 5 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna with Pastor Robert Watkins officiating. Visitation will be from 1-5 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
