David Wesley Marcellus

David W. Marcellus, 73, of Belpre, passed away May 23, 2024, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital-Belpre Campus. He was born October 27, 1950 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Bernita M. McCoy Werner and Roger J. Marcellus.

David was a graduate of Federal Hocking High School and attended Hocking Tech Vocational School in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was a photographer who worked for several studios, most recently Lee Ann Portraits of Parkersburg.

He is survived by one son; Jonathan Marcellus of Moundsville, WV; one sister, Jane Stevens (David) of Sherwood, Arkansas; one brother, Larry White of Parkersburg, WV; one aunt, Alice (Richard) Shanks of Coolville, OH; two uncles, Ron McCoy of Belpre, OH and Carl Ratliff of Little Hocking, OH; several cousins; and the mother of his son, Nora Prohaska of Moundsville, WV.

Per David’s request there will be no visitation or services.
