David Allen Lowther

David Allen Lowther, age 49 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 4, 1966 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Dannie Leroy and Judith Anne Metz Lowther. David was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, attended Fairmont State College and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15 and loved reading, traveling, cooking and the movies. David is survived by his son, Allen Jeffrey Lowther, who is in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Guam; his daughter, Carrie Ann Lowther of New Jersey; two sisters, Dannette Bonnett of Parkersburg and Mary Valentine of Columbus, Ohio; his friend, Eddie Harris of Grantsville, W.Va.; his friend and mother of Allen, Angela Duke of Parkersburg; three nieces and nephews, Jeff Bonnett of Parkersburg, and Megan and Mark Valentine both of Columbus; his cousin, Gavin Bonnett of Parkersburg; his friend, Jordan Hill of Parkersburg; and several other friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2015 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
