A Memorial Video to David is now available on this site.David Glen Deem, 64, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away August 2, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.He was born July 25, 1951 in Parkersburg, a son of Dennis Earl Deem of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and the late Eleanor Marguerite Eaton Deem.David (Sugar Bear), was a 1969 graduate of Parkersburg South High School, served in the U.S. Army for 13 years leaving with the rank of Staff Sergeant in the recruiting field. He then retired from Little Hocking Service Center/ Contracture Operations as a plant manager. He enjoyed golfing, baseball, football, hunting, fishing, was an avid fan of Parkersburg South High School, and a team member of the 1963 Pony League World Series. David was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Linda Shuman Deem; his three daughters, Melissa Wilson (Darren) of Parkersburg, Tamara Thomas (Tim) of Northeast Harbor, Maine, and Andrea McMillion (Tom) of Vienna, W.Va.; his two siblings, Richard Deem (Charlotte) and Catherine Conner (Darryl) all of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; and his nine grandchildren, Abigail Wilson, Evan McMillion, Philip Wilson, Benton Thomas, Alexis McMillion, Olivia Wilson, Thalia Thomas, Samuel Wilson, and Oakley Thomas.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Harold Deem; and his grandparents, Glen and Elva Deem and Edith and William Eaton, Sr.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Steve Morgan and Bill Deem officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesdayand one hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home.
