David Wayne Furner

David Wayne Furner, 53, of Parkersburg passed away June 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1964 in Wood County, WV a son of Betty L. Flinn Scritchfield of Parkersburg and the late Dempsey Lee Furner, Sr. He was a 1983 graduate of Parkersburg South High School where he played football. He attended Bethel Baptist Church, worked at Big Lots and Winans Cleaners. He was the Domino King, enjoyed fishing and weightlifting. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his finacee, Laura J. Delaney of Parkersburg; two brothers, Dean A. Furner and Mark Stephen Furner (Alice) all of Parkersburg. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Furner; and a brother, Dempsey Lee Furner, Jr. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor David Carrico officiating. Interment will follow at the Pond Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to time of services Friday at the funeral home.
