David Fleek

David Schnibbe Fleek age 75 of Parkersburg passed away Monday, October 12, 2026, at his residence.

He was born January 31, 1951, in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late Richard Arthur and Betty Ann Schnibbe Fleek. David served in the US Air Force for 13 years and was retired from the WV National Guard. David was a high school basketball referee for 40 years; ran T-Ball and flag football for Wood County Recreation for several years and was keeper of the long jump pit at Parkersburg High School.

He was a devoted grandfather who had so much love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He could always be seen cheering them on and their teammates from the stands at their sporting events. David was always willing to lend a helping hand: he never met a stranger and touched so many peoples lives. He will be missed by so many.

David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Tanda Fleek; children, Lia Fleek (Eric Harvey) of Parkersburg, Caroline Peck (Chad) of Charlotte, NC and Greg Fleek (Ara) of Bluffton, SC; two siblings, Sue Fleek and John Fleek (Diana) of Cross Lanes, WV; grandchildren, Kara Fleek (Brian Hayden II), Joel Fleek, Michael Fleek, Payton Harvey, Brenan Harvey, Caitlin Peck and Carson Peck; and great-grandchildren, Blaire Hayden and Brian Hayden III.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be made to the Parkersburg High School Girls Track Boosters or your favorite charity, in memory of David.
