David Wayne Ball, 56, of Little Hocking, Ohio passed away August 13, 2018. He was born November 1, 1961 in Parkersburg, West Virginia a son of the late Carl Lewis and Nancy Louise Smith Ball. David was a graduate of Alexander High School and worked for 30 years as a driver (CB handle was “Clown”), for Venezia Trucking, earning many safe driving awards. He enjoyed dune buggy riding, western movies, John Wayne and eagle memorabilia, and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of American Legion Post 15. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kimberly Burnfield Ball; sisters, Anita Parker (Jack) of Chester, Ohio, and Sandra Fields of Spencer, West Virginia; brothers, Bill Ball (Brenda) of Parkersburg, Randy Ball (Tina) of Tuppers Plains, Ohio, and Lewis Ball of Walker, West Virginia; and his cats, Boots and Tigger; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carl and Nancy Ball, David was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in law, Donna and Roderick Burnfield; and a brother Gary Ball. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Little Hocking, Ohio. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
