Darrell E. Smith

Darrell E. Smith, 79 of Belleville, W.Va. formerly of Parkersburg,W.Va. passed away June 13, 2016 at The Arbors at Marietta. He was born July 14, 1936 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Roy and Alice Morris Smith. He retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after 38 years of service. He was proud that he had never missed a day of work at the hospital. He is survived by one sister, Deloris Crown of Gaithersburg, MD; and his friends and caregivers, Kenneth and Ida Ankrom of Belleville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. McDonough Smith; and a sister, Juanita Gates. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Father George Nedeff officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
