Darrell Lane Haught

Darrell Lane Haught, 84, of Vienna, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025. He departed from the Camden Clark Medical Center surrounded by his loving family after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was born March 30th, 1940, in Marietta, OH, the son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Binegar) Haught. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Ohio.

Darrell had previously worked for Shell Chemical where he met the love of his life, Charlotte. They spent 58 beautiful years together until her passing. Darrell dedicated his life’s work to the tire industry. He worked long and hard hours as a sales representative and district manager for such companies as Discount Tire Center, Dayton Tire & Rubber Company, Firestone, American Tire, and Mahone Tire Service.

Darrell was a member of Vienna Baptist Church. He served and held leadership roles in organizations such as Vienna Civitans, Kiwanis Club, JC’s, and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid golfer, loved animals, took pride in his home, enjoyed walks at McDonough Park, and was always willing to help neighbors.

Darrell is survived by his loving daughters, Sandy Haught of Cincinnati, OH and Becky Casto (Jody) of Vienna, WV; his granddaughter, Ashley Casto of Vienna, WV; his sister, Bonnie Biehl (Gene) of Marietta, OH; and his brother, Bruce Haught (Judy) of Newport, OH. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte; his brothers Wayne Haught, Arthur Jr. “Bud” Haught, Gary Haught, and Robert Haught; and his parents, Arthur and Gladys Haught.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 14th, 2025, from 6-8pm and Saturday, February 15th from 12-1pm at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Vienna. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, February 15th at 1pm. Graveside service will be observed at the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens located behind P.H.S. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society in memory of Darrell L. Haught.
