Dana E. "Butch" Joy

Dana Edward “Butch” Joy, 57, of Beverly, WV passed away March 23, 2026 at the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. He was born October 16, 1968 in Parkersburg, a son of Wanda Joy and the late Dana A. Joy, Jr.

Dana worked as a chipper operator at the AHF Sawmill in Norton, WV. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother and her friend, Jerry Abston of Beverly, WV, he is survived by his brother, Harold Joy (Dina) of Belleville; two sisters, Ella Mays (Randy) of Orgas, WV and Edna Yoakum (Dan) of Beverly, WV; twelve nieces and nephews; and twenty-one great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Romie “Kieth” Kincaid; grandmothers, Ella W. Joy and Lucy E. Drake; uncles, Edward W. Joy and Arthur “Buster” Waybright; an aunt, Joyce A. Waybright; and cousins, Jeffrey W. and Jessica R. Devore.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Family will accept visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
