Craig Lynn Clinton

Craig L. Clinton, 70, of Vienna, passed away October 27, 2018, at home surrounded by friends and family and his loving wife. Craig was born August 10, 1948 in Parkersburg, WV, and the son of the late Clyde A. Clinton and the late Gladys C. (Rowan) Clinton. He was raised in Wheeling, WV where he graduated from Linsly Military Academy in 1966, raced cars on the streets of Wheeling, and drove gas tankers for Clinton Oil Co. when he was big enough to reach the gas pedals. Craig taught history for over 30 years at PHS where he also coached tennis. Craig is survived by his wife of 21 years, J. Noel Clinton of Vienna, WV. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved Russian-chasing dog, Tootsie and nursemaid and guard cat, Grits. Memorial services will be at 11:00 Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, WV. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to the Wood County Humane Society or the Ohio Valley Humane Society of Washington County.
