Corinne Wharton Wade

Corinne Wharton Wade, 91 of Parkersburg joined her husband, surrounded by family Feb. 18, 2017 at The Willows Center. She was born September 11, 1925 in Wood County, WV a daughter of the late Roy R. and Loutene Pearl Wilson Wharton. She worked as a bookkeeper for Dudley's Florist for several years. She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Parkersburg. She was a life member and former secretary of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #14 of Parkersburg. She was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Bethany Chapter #4 and was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine where she was founder of Corinne's Clowns. She loved being with her family and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jimmy. Corinne is survived by a daughter, Lori Roberts (Keith) of Parkersburg; a son, Randy Wade (Kimberly) of Cross Lanes, WV; two sisters, Arlene Flowers and Jackie Shook both of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Courtney, Chris, Alyssa, Joshua and Daniel; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. “Jimmy” Wade who passed away in 2008; one brother, John Wharton; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wharton; and two brothers-in-law, Harold Shook and Bob Flowers. Funeral services for Corinne will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Kurt Busiek officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. The Order of Eastern Star Chapter #14 will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
