Constance Bennett Stewart, age 84, died at Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, Maryland on Thursday, February 10, 2011.She was born on April 14, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to the late George and Martha (Ross) Bennett.She attended elementary school in Walker, West Virginia and graduated from Parkersburg High School in May of 1943.Connie graduated from Washington Missionary College (Washington Adventist University) in 1951 and received a teaching certification. On June 5, 1950 she married Kenneth Stewart, also an Educator.Their first teaching assignment was Pittsburgh Junior Academy in Pittsburgh, Penn.She taught in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, and Georgia before retiring. She returned to Williamstown, West Virginia where she enjoyed life with Kenny until his death in 1995.On September 2, 2001 she married George Charles Dart who survives Connie.She was a member of the Parkersburg Seventh-day-Adventist Church where she taught a Bible class until she became unable to do so. Her church and church family were the center of her life.Connie is survived by her husband, Charles, of Loma Linda, California; her sister, Joni (Reg) Woodruff; nieces, Heidi(Randall) Jubb, Karla Jane Vaughan;nephew, Garth(Lani) Woodruff;grandnieces, Amy Nedrow and Rachel Turner;grandnephews, Logan Jubb, Foster and Hudson Woodruff, Jacob and Anson Turner.She is also survived by stepdaughters Joyce Stewart(Kenneth) Hunt, Sherri Dart(Allen) Lutz, Jolene Dart (Kent)Rodgers; stepsons, Chuck(Cheri) Dart, Jed(LeLee) Dart, as well as step grandchildrenIn addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Polly Bennett (Karl) Vaughan; a brother, Waynard Bennett, and an infant niece, Arwana Vaughan.Funeral services for Constance Stewart will be held at 2:30PM, Saturday, February 19, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, WV.Visitation will be the hour leading up to the 2:30 service.Immediately following the service is a luncheon to be held in the Family Reception Room at the Funeral Home in Vienna.We would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at the Williamsport Retirement Village who so lovingly cared for Connie.
