Connie L. Matheny, 69, of Parkersburg, passed away on July 5, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born July 25, 1947, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Russell and Dessie Moore Null. She was a 1965 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She retired from Corning Glass. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary Post #1212 of Parkersburg and a lifetime member of the D.A.V of Parkersburg. She loved to shop and spend time with all of her friends, laughing and joking and she loved a good party. She is survived by her husband, Steve Matheny; her mother in-law, Martha Matheny of Parkersburg; one step-daughter, Lori Longwell (James) of Mineral Wells; one step-son, Scott Matheny (Gloria) of Mineral Wells; six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Bradford of Vienna, whom she loved with all of her heart and Brenda Bailey of Elizabeth; one brother, Michael Stilgenbaur of Kentucky; special niece, Angie Lucas (Gary) of St. Mary’s, WV; three great nieces, Sierra, Zoey, and Jayla; nephew, Todd Moore (Tammy) of Elizabeth, nephew, Chris Bradford (Julie) of Vienna, nephew, Preston Stilgenbaur and niece, Rachel Stilgenbaur both of Kentucky; and several other nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog “Jasper”. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
