Connie Jo Bell-Hall, 72, of Elizabeth, passed away suddenly, September 6, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Parkersburg, July 8, 1953 to the late Mary Esther (King) and Olin Lloyd Bell. She was a Christian by faith, growing up in the Church of Christ.
Connie was in the class of 1971 at Wirt County High School. She left school early to spend a year in Germany, then returned to graduate with the class of 1972. After graduation she worked at the American Viscose Plant in Parkersburg until it’s closure. For many years she worked at the old Western Sizzlin, and eventually for Wood County Schools, from where she retired. She continued to work as a substitute custodian.
The joy of her life was family. She was the keeper of traditions, hosting holidays and cookouts for a large extended family and friends. She enjoyed classic country music and road trips, especially to the mountains.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sam Braniff (Carrie), Chris Braniff (Tammy), Lisa Greif (Kyle), and her bonus son Rick Conley (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jordan Braniff (Amayah), Jacob Braniff (Mikayla Craze), Austin Braniff, Ashley Braniff, and Mae Greif; her little loves, her great-granddaughters, Naomie and Charlee Braniff; brothers, Malcomb and Jeff Bell; nieces, Lana Wilson, Linda Wilson (David) and their families; several cousins, including Loretta Lamb who was more like a sister; many friends, and her cat, Bella.
