Connie Jean Bailey

Connie Jean Bailey, 79, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. She was born March 3, 1945 in Calhoun County, WV to the late Hugh and Juanita Limer Wilson.

Connie worked previously as a beautician and retired from the Wood Co. Board of Education. She attended Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Connie loved traveling, sewing, word-puzzles, coloring, and spending time with her grandchildren and grand-pups.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three children, Reggie Bailey (Wendy) of Belpre, OH; Seth Bailey of Mineral Wells and Heather Bailey of Vienna; her sister, Carole Weekley (Carroll) of Parkersburg; two brothers, Charles R. Wilson (Anna) of Parkersburg and William Spence Wilson (Charolette) of Pettyville; two grandchildren, Charlotte and Carson Bailey; and special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary H. Bailey; and her brother, David Wilson.

Her family would like to thank the caregivers that helped with Connie’s care.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. with Pastor Brian Boley officiating. Interment will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Calhoun County with Doug Price speaking. Visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
