Cody Lee Marks

Cody Lee Marks, 22, of Parkersburg passed away December 30, 2020. Cody was born January 8, 1998 in Wood County, a son of Brian Marks of Walker and Jennifer McGary Brand (Michael) of Palestine, WV. He was a 2016 graduate of Wirt County High School and was employed with Kraton. He enjoyed boating, hunting, catfishing, riding side by sides (mudding), skiing and scuba diving. Cody was a wrestling referee for WVSSAC. In addition to his parents, Cody is survived by his siblings, Erin VanClief (Bobby) of Vienna, Correy Marks of Palestine and Caysen Marks of Palestine; his girlfriend, Candra Collins; grandparents, Tom and Janet McGary of Davisville and Lester and Tammie Marks of Walker; great- grandmother, Ethel McGary of Davisville; aunts and uncles, Kelly Ceglar (Nick) of Washington, WV, Tommy McGary of Davisville, Betty Nutter (Anthony) of Walker, Peggy Toothman (Matt) of Parkersburg, Amanda Hopkins (Eric) of Parkersburg and Danette Stoneking of Walker; niece and nephew, Roselynn Marks and Charlie VanClief. Cody was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vickie Marks; and his great-grandparents, Howard McGary, Dale and Anita Modesitt, and Kellis Jr. and Cora Lee Starcher. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Jerry Hanshaw officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
