Clifford Jay Queen, 88, passed away December 30, 2017 at The Willows Center in Parkersburg. He was born May 13, 1929, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Asa and Dora Queen. Clifford was a decorated U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He was a self-employed construction worker, and formerly owned and operated ASCO Electronics store in Fairmont, WV. He is survived by one daughter, Sherri Bell (K.C.) of Fairfield, PA; three grandchildren, April (Justin), Stephanie and Valerie; three great-grandchildren, Melanie, Natalie and Amelia Jo; one sister, Cora Sams of Parkersburg; niece, Carol Robinson (Rick) of Vienna; three nephews, Audrick Sams (Brenda) of Belleville, WV, Ed Sams (Diane) of Buckhannon, WV and Carl Sams of Parkersburg; In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by one son, Clifford Queen Jr., one daughter, Debora Queen and two sisters, Juanita Foggin and Oleta May Parks. At Clifford’s request he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
