Claudia M. Adams, 72, Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was born on March 15, 1944, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Cecil C. and Enid M. Dotson Adams. She is survived by her brother, Carman (Beverly) Adams who she has lived with for the past 16 years; her nephew, Mark (Valma) Adams; great-niece, Andrea (Brian) Williams and Nikki (Mark) Full and great nephew, Mark Alan Adams. She had six great-great-grandnieces and nephews. She was an active member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church for almost 70 years where she played the prelude on the organ and was the Sunday school secretary for 25 years. She was given the Pentecost Award by the late Rev. Kermit Poling. Her interests included gospel and county music, sending and receiving cards, crafts, NASCAR, and watching women’s basketball on TV. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Lambert –Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Reverend Jim Plyburn officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4-8 PM. on Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service. The family wishes to thank Gentiva Home Health and Amedisys Hospice Care for their services.
