Clarice I. Stoneking

Clarice Isabel Stoneking, 81, of Parkersburg, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born February 9, 1936, in Doddridge County, WV, a daughter of the late Cecil Glen and Virginia Williams Nutter. Clarice was a 1953 graduate of Doddridge County High School. She worked as a Custodian for forty one and a half years with the Wood County Board of Education and was a Crossing Guard for McKinley School. She also worked at South Hills Golf Course. She enjoyed her beautiful flowers, watching the birds and loved her dogs. She is survived by her children, Becky Lou Kelley of Parkersburg, Jeffrey C. Kelley (Donna) of Parkersburg, Rickey G. Kelley of Savannah, GA., Peggy Sue Kelley Allen (Bill) of Parkersburg, Billy Joe Kelley of Parkersburg and David P. Kelley of Parkersburg; seven step-children; her step-daughter in-law and very special friend, Mary Stoneking of Davisville, WV; and her grandchildren, Nicole Kelley and Jeremy Allen (Tina). In addition to her parents, Clarice was preceded in death by her first husband, Bruce Kelley; her second husband, Victor L. Stoneking Sr; four step children; and two brothers, James Boyd Nutter and Dwight E. Nutter. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Jim Lynch officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
