Christopher Craig “Chris” Adams, 49 of Lewis Center, Ohio formerly of Parkersburg passed away April 4, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Aug. 8, 1967 in Parkersburg, the son of Roger Lee Barber and Eileen Adams Bartlett both of Columbus. He was a 1985 graduate of Parkersburg High School where he played football and wrestled. Chris loved football and was a life-long Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed entertainment, from movies to cartoons. He was a great singer, despite being too bashful to sing in public. In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by two sisters, Malika Bartlett and Angela Barber both of Columbus; three brothers, LaMont Barber of Raleigh, NC, Garrick Barber of Columbus, and Adrian Barber of Maryland; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Morgan Webster, Erika Byrd, and Donald Pompey; nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Raymond and Frances Lowe; paternal grandmother, Mamie Barber Bateman; uncles, Joe and Richard Adams; and aunts, Florence Simmons and Gail Mitchell. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Rev. Lisa Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Marietta. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
