Cheryl Mae Whitlatch, 53, of Walker, West Virginia passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born May, 19, 1964 in Wood County, a daughter of Ronald Deem of Walker and the late Mary Tracewell Deem. Cheryl was a homemaker and a long time Volunteer Firefighter and E.M.T. since 1984 for the Deerwalk Fire Department. She was a born again Christian. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Glenn Whitlatch of Walker; two sons, Jeremiah (Catherine) of Davisville and Zachary Whitlatch of Walker; seven grandchildren, Isabella, Geneva, Evalina, Evan, Warren, Raidyn, and Maely; one sister, Rhonda Marlow (Keith) of Walker; mother-in-law Geraldine Whitlatch of Walker; paternal grandmother, Evalyn Deem of Parkersburg; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Garrett of Walker and Leslie Whitlatch of Ohio; three brothers-in-law, Adam Boyles (Karen) of Davisville, Matt Whitlatch (Shelley) of Lubeck, and Joe Whitlatch (Shawnda) of Waverly; and aunts and uncles Rich Deem (Janelle), Irene Seay (Bob), and Glenn Tracewell (Carolyn). In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Paul Whitlatch; paternal grandfather, Boyd Deem; maternal grandparents, Ed and Mildred Tracewell; brother-in-law, Ralph Whitlatch; and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, WV with Chris Longgrear officiating. Burial will follow in the Herndon-Whitlatch Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
