Cheryl Lyn West

Cheryl West (Burke), 57, of Rockport, WV passed away peacefully February 1, 2025 after losing a well fought battle against cancer. She was born March 14, 1967, a daughter to Ilene Burke and the late David Lee Burke Sr.

She was a retiree of Dupont where she worked as a process operator and laboratorian. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time and having fun with her friends and family. Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, working on puzzles, mudding, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her significant other, Dave Fought; two daughters, Nikisha Fouse (Chad) and Cheyenne Harris (Will Slone); her mother, Ilene Burke; her brothers and sister, Daniel Burke (Nora Caplinger), Davy Burke, and Cindy Starcher (Eric); her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Annabelle, and Nikolas; and countless nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Lee Burke Sr.

Memorial Service will be 7:00p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. Parkersburg. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
