Charlotte J. Cooper

Charlotte Joan Cooper, 90, of Parkersburg, WV passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 5, 1932 in Parkersburg, WV. A daughter of the late George A. and Pauline V. Watson Life.
She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1950 and attended WV Tech College. Charlotte was employed in the medical field for 46 years before retirement. She then worked as a program aid for the head start program for several years. She was member of the First Christian Church and served as a Deaconess. Charlotte loved bowling and served on the Parkersburg Women’s Board of Directors.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Cooper of Parkersburg, WV, Sondra Stalnaker of Wirt Co., and Bonnie Brown (Bill) of Greenville, SC; two sons, Franklin Cooper Jr.(Linda), and Michael Newlon (Tracy) both of Davisville, WV; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; two nephews, Andrew and Ryan Life; and a brother, Ronald D. Life (Debbie) of Mineral Wells, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Lipscomb (Les); a brother, Russell K. Life; and a nephew, Jeremy Life.
The family would like to thank Housecalls and Housecalls Hospice for their excellent care and her special friend and care taker, Sara Windland.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg with Reverend Thad Allen officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Charlotte has requested instead of flowers, contributions be made to the First Christian Church, 1400 Washington Ave. Parkersburg, WV 26101.
