Charles W (Bill) Taggart, 77 went to meet his Lord on August 14, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 3, 1947, the son of the late Lee William Taggart and Evelyn Springston Taggart.
He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the WV Department of Highways Bridge Department as Crew Chief with 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Jean Moat Taggart, daughters, Lisa Taggart-Hauber (Rob) and Angie Louden (Tim), grandchildren: Darienne Stephens (Drake), Levi Louden, Dillon (Michaela) Louden, chosen Grandchildren: Hannah (Styx) Beckner, Lauren, Owen, Maddie, and Caroline Thomas, Hailey, Kyle, Cooper, and Jackson Norman, great grandchildren: Hunter Stephens and Emmie Louden, sisters Helen Sheppard and Kay Sprague (Jamie), and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He loved his Church family, working & spending time outdoors along with hunting & trout fishing. In his younger years he enjoyed dirtbike riding, mudding, snow & water skiing.
Per the family’s request a Celebration of Life Service at the Steer Creek Church of Christ will be held at a later date this fall.
