Date and Time of Service: Mon., Oct. 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. – Southposted 10/22/2010 at 2:19:01 PMCharles Edwin Osborne, 91, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Oct. 19, 2010, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.He was born May 22, 1919, in Clendenin, W.Va., a son of the late Edgell and Emma Thompson Osborne.Charles retired from the West Virginia Department of Transportation, District 3, as a safety supervisor. He was a member of the WV Grand Lodge Moriah #38, Spencer, W.Va., a life member of the Nemesis Shrine Temple of Parkersburg, and a lifetime member of the Parkersburg Elks Lodge #198. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and hunting. He was a Methodist by faith.He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Osborne of Parkersburg; his son, Charles E. Osborne Jr. of Ripley, W.Va.; his sister, Dorothy Hight (Fred) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his brother, Edgell Osborne Jr. (Charlotte) of Teays Valley, W.Va.; one grandson, Charles E. Osborne III of Cabel, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Kealey, Catelinn, and E. Riley Osborne; caregiver, Stella Leach; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Osborne; one sister Lorena Persinger; and one brother, Ernest Osborne.Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Scott Sears officiating. Interment will follow at Fairplains Cemetery.
