Charles “Chick” Arthur Masten, 85 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Dec. 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born Feb. 4, 1930 in Parkersburg son of the late Arthur and Velma Wilson Masten. He served in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves and was a foreman in the Local 33 Sheet Metal Workers Union. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and fishing and loved family trips to Canada. “Chick” is survived by three sons, Larry Masten (Janie), Harold “Butch” Life (Mary Ann) and Jeffrey Life (Martha) all of Parkersburg; a brother, Roger “Jerry” Masten (Ann) of Parkersburg; five granddaughters, Danielle, Brandy, Megan, Brianna and Amanda; and five great-grandchildren, Cohen, Dylan, Annisty, Madalee and Bryleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 48 years, Caroline C. Masten and two sisters, Evelyn “Boots” Powell and Betty Fought. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec.22, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
