Charles William Lent

Charles William “Bill” Lent, 76, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed peacefully away August 16, 2024, at home.

He was born October 18, 1947, in Belleville, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles and Louise Sheets Lent.

Bill was a 1965 graduate of Parkersburg High School, served our country in the United States Army Reserve, and worked thirty-five years for O’Ames. He enjoyed hunting, auto trading, and walking in the mall. Bill was also an avid WVU Sport Fan, and he previously coached local youth baseball, football, and wrestling.

He leaves behind four children, Brian Lent, Angie Daff, John Daff, and Megan Lent (Derek Dawson); sister, Glenda Lee Milhoan; and special friends, Helen Daff, Jerry Cline, Barry Smith, Rodney Wease, and Whit Gorrell.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by four siblings, Larry Lent, Patsy Debarr, Johnny Lent, and Carolyn “Sue” Nohe.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
