Charles M Hall

Charles Melvin Hall, 88, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Dec. 15, 2010 at the Arbors of Marietta.He was born October 31, 1922, in Wirt County, W.Va., a son of the late Charles M. and Lilly Grace Williams Hall.Charles was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, formerly worked at FMC and retired from the WV Department of Highways. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a Baptist by faith.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geraldine B. Shrader Hall; two sisters, Cora Boggs and Evelyn Copeland, both of Elizabeth, W.Va.; one brother, Randall Hall of Akron, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, including Darrell Shrader, his caregiver.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.18, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor William Stutler officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at the funeral home.
