Charles Edward Green, affectionately known to all as “Charlie,” passed away peacefully at his home on October 18, 2026, surrounded by his family following a sudden illness. He was 83 years old.
Charlie was born on February 20, 1943, at Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg, WV., to the late Everett and Inis Green and was raised on Love Hill Road in Waverly. In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diedre Green; and his siblings, Russell, Viola, and Robert.
He leaves behind his children: Chris and his wife Carmin, Melissa and her husband Bret; and Rachel and her husband Miguel. Also left to cherish his memory includes his grandchildren, Kierra, Jonathan, Ryan, Josh, and Laci; as well as his remaining siblings, Violet, Sandy, and Roger (Janie).
