Charles Luther Brashears

Charles Luther Brashears, 89, of Vienna, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1936 in Annapolis, Maryland, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Brashears.

He served our country honorably as a medic in the U.S. Army, and completed pharmacology school at the University of Maryland. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Parkersburg. He collected aroma therapy bottles and enjoyed creating perfume. He considered himself esoteric.

Charles leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Janise “Jan” Brashears of Vienna and their daughters, Julie Lynn Brashears of the home and Joanna Lee Taylor and husband, John, of York, PA; two grandchildren, Bradey Taylor and Annabel and husband, Jester, of York, PA; a great-granddaughter, Autumn; and his brother, David Brashears and wife, Barbara, of Annapolis, MD.

A private family memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
