Charles “Ernie” Bibbee, 86, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on Dec. 28, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Waldo and Lettie H. Burgy Bibbee.Ernie was a retired truck driver from Midland Grocery with over 34 years of service. He was an avid Hat Collector and loved to make people laugh. He was a member of the Flywheel Association and Sams Creek Baptist Church.He is survived by his son, James “Jim” Bibbee of Davisville, W.Va.; daughter, Brenda Young of South Carolina; special niece, Lisa Bibbee of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; sister, Leatha Wigal of Wadesville, W.Va.; brothers, Vernon Bibbee of Davisville, W.Va. and Tom Bibbee of Washington, W.Va.; grandson, Tim Bibbee (Sarah) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; granddaughter, Wendy Mundy (Keith) of Parkersburg, W. Va.; grandsons, David Young (Kathy) and Clayton Young (Tammy) both of South Carolina; and several great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Francis Annalee “Annie” Bibbee; sisters, Stella Smith, Myrtle Sams and Ruby Prunty; and brothers, Ray Bibbee and Art Bibbee.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.va. with Pastor Carl Radcliff and Pastor Bob Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.
