Chad Matthew Cokeley, 24 of Parkersburg, passed away on April 23, 2017. He was born February 15, 1993, in Chicago, IL, the son of James Cokeley of Parkersburg and Cindy Schultz Cokeley of Belpre, OH. Chad worked for Jacobs Engineering with Kraton as a shift lead. He had many interests which included soccer, football, baseball, basketball, fishing, and hunting. Chad was an avid bowler and golfer and loved animals, the outdoors, exercising at Planet Fitness and playing his Xbox. He had a passion for helping the youth in our community and also served as an assistant coach. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving girlfriend of three years, Megan Murphy of Washington, WV; two sisters, Jamie Renee and Janie Mae Cokeley both of Belpre, OH; paternal grandmother, Beulah Mae Lemon; maternal grandparents, Charles and Wilma Burke Schultz; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with a host of family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 12 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, where funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Jimmie Cox officiating. In lieu of flowers monetary donations in Chad's name may be made to a local youth sports organizations of your choice or to the family directly.
