Cecil J. Waldron, 86, of Rockport, W.Va., passed away on November 24, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1930, in Wirt County, W.Va., a son of the late James and Edna Caplinger Waldron. Cecil was an U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Union Carbide where he was a crane operator. He enjoyed vacationing in the mountains with his family and enjoyed farming. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness at the Gihon Rd. congregation. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lola A. “Nita” Sams; one daughter, Doris “Kathy” Dowler (Robert) of Rockport, W.Va.; three sons, Thomas Waldron (Carol) of Vienna, W.Va., Michael Waldron (Stephanie) of Rockport and Eric Waldron (Kathy) of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Tom Waldron (Betty) of Marietta, Ohio, Jimmy Waldron (Ruthann) of California and Robert Waldron of Parkersburg, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Terry Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
