Cecil E. McElfresh, Sr. 81, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at Camden Clark Hospital. He was born December 19, 1942 in Parkersburg to the late Lewis and Allie Galland McElfresh. He was retired from O’ Ames after 24 years of service. Cecil also spent 15 years as a truck driver. He was a member of the Angus Association and attended Grand Central Church of Christ. Cecil enjoyed coon hunting, horse riding, and farming. He was a United States Army veteran. Those left to cherish his precious memory include his loving wife of 23 years, Cynthia McElfresh; his daughter, Dianne Cantwell (David); sons, Brian McElfresh (Belinda), Gene McElfresh (Teresa) all of Walker, WV and Scott McElfresh (Shelley) of Elizabeth, WV, Robert Lott (Glenna) of Cabins, WV, Kevin Lott (Aimie) of Parkersburg, and Greg Lott of Belpre, OH; a sister, Sara Homan of AL; brother, Harry McElfresh (Margaret) of Belleville, WV; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children’s mother, Lou Ann McElfresh Dennis; and a sister, Nora Varner. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with Joe Spivy officiating. Burial will follow at German Lutheran Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
