Cecil Edward Gates

Cecil Edward Gates died September 28, 2014 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home following a long battle with cancer.He was born January 21, 1933, in Parkersburg, W.Va.Cecil was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and had retired from Elkem.He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Singleton Gates of Parkersburg, W.Va.; his mother, Julia Ramsey of Ripley, W.Va; and his father, Cecil Pickens of Vienna, W.Va.Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg.
