Catherine June Keffer Waggoner

Catherine June Keffer Waggoner of Parkersburg, W.Va. went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2016. She was born June 9, 1960 in Parkersburg, a daughter of Phyllis J. Keffer of Parkersburg and the late J. Howard Keffer. She had worked at Overnite and Jimmy Columbos. She was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School. Cathy was a fun-loving free spirit who loved going to music festivals, dancing, playing the fiddle and enjoyed nature to its fullest. She never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Keffer; son, Jess Waggoner of Parkersburg; daughter, Julie Waggoner also of Parkersburg; sister, Tammy McAtee (Dan) of Little Hocking, Ohio; brother, Jason Keffer of Parkersburg; special nephew, Austin Tyler; and aunts, Iris Ferrebee, Nancy Sturdevant, Regina Brown and Penny McGowan. In addition to her father, J. Howard Keffer, Cathy was preceded in death by her aunt, Rhonda Morgan. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. till time of service Sunday at the funeral home. Following the service a dinner will be held at Jefferson Baptist Temple Fellowship Hall at 1305 Erie St. Parkersburg, W.Va. Covered dishes can be dropped off anytime at the church after 1:00 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to help cover funeral expenses.
