Catherine "Cathy" Lynne Cover

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine “Cathy” Lynne Cover, an adored mother and cherished friend. Cathy passed away on April 12th, 2026, at her residence from a short-lived battle with cancer, at the age of 79.

Cathy was born on March 29, 1947, in Parkersburg, WV, and grew up and lived her life in Vienna, WV. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Amber Gault, former husband Douglas M. Gault, stepson Josh Cover, several fur grandbabies who will deeply miss her, especially Sadie and Greta. A brother, Warren(Ardith) Rader of Vienna, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her parents, Okey and Mary Rader, and by her brothers Ronald and Neil Rader.

Cathy retired from Erie Insurance and loved painting flowers and shopping expeditions in her retirement years. Cathy was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. She touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her memory will forever be cherished.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Cathy’s life; the family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
