Catharine (Katie) Dearman, 86 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away June 30, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center.She was born in Newburg, NY daughter of the late George A. and Eva M. Kabel Ferry. She was a teacher in Ohio and West Virginia. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church where she was a volunteer with Matthew 25, served as a greeter and worked as needed throughout the church. Katie was an active member and former president of DeSales Heights Alumnae. She enjoyed collecting dolls, Department 56 and coins. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Coffelt (Tim)of Springfield, OH and Mary Agnes Haagensen (Wes) of Henry, NE; and a son, Mark Dearman (Carol) of Parkersburg; daughter-in-law, Susan Dearman of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Doug Coffelt (Lindsay) of Silver Springs, MD, Andrew Coffelt of Columbus, OH, Megan Gatian (William) of Morgantown, WV, Jessica Dearman of Parkersburg, Ian Iddings of Seattle, WA, Ryan Dearman (Lauren) of Morgantown, and Kayla Dearman of Parkersburg; and one great-grandchild, William Gatian, born June 28, 2015.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, A. Eugene Dearman; and a son, G. Morgan Dearman. There will be an hour visitation at 10 a.m.Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.Monsignor Peterson will officiate and Father Bell will bless the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
