Carrie E. Wigal

Carrie Elizabeth Wigal, 78, of Newport, Ohio, passed away on July 24, 2016 at the Arbors at Marietta. She was born November 14, 1937, in Wood County, WV a daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Dawson Wires. She enjoyed reading and working puzzles and was a member of Grace Gospel Church. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Carl Wigal; four daughters, Ava Jo James (Larry) of Parkersburg, Carla Sartor (John) of Parkersburg, Teresa Gessel of Washington, WV and Nancy Burchard of Parkersburg; one sister, Shirley McPherson (Jack) of Streetsboro, Ohio; five grandchildren, Adam Townsend, Mandy Delarosa, Alex Vincent (Megan), Eden Sims and Joseph Burchard; and four great-grandchildren, Jacob Townsend, Mia Delarosa, Dillen and Damon Petty. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Hazel Morrison, Ruth Dye, Cora Cross, Maxine Drummond, Ray Wires and Harold Wires. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Roger Benson officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from noon-2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
