Carolyn S. Wilcox, 73, of Washington, W.Va. passed away on April 21, 2016 at Worthington Care and Rehab. She was born February 24, 1943, in Ripley, W.Va., a daughter of the late Brooks E. and Theo D. Scyoc Utt. Carolyn was a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church, a member of the Altar Guild and the Pettyville United Methodist Women’s Club. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheri (Doug) Chaney of Washington and Cindy (Bob) Whitlatch of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; three sons, Jeff (Becky) Wilcox of Washington, W.Va., Mike (Tammy) Wilcox of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Jay (April) Wilcox of Ripley, W.Va.; two sisters Wanda “Bunny” Shimp of Liverpool, W.Va. and Wilda “Wig” (Bernard) Lockhart of Sandyville, W.Va.; one brother, Delmar “Bub” Utt of Liverpool; five grandchildren, Jordan (Ryan) Helmic, Kindra Whitlatch, Jacob, Tori and Colby Wilcox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Wilcox; an infant child, Gary; a sister, Sharon; brother in-law, Bill Shimp and a sister in-law, Wilma Utt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Liverpool United Methodist Church, with Pastor Philip Prunty officiating. Interment will follow at Liverpool Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. South Parkersburg.
