Carolyn Sue Parker

Carolyn Sue “Burdette” Parker, 76, of Parkersburg, WV, left this earth to be in peace and in a better world, surrounded by her loving husband David, and family and friends, on November 8, 2024 at her residence.

When Carolyn stepped down from that train, there to meet her was her daughter, Diana “Dee” Parker; mother and father, Kathleen and Oakey Burdette; brothers, Gene and Richard Burdette; sister, Barbara McKinney; and granddaughter, Nichole Moore.

In addition to her husband David, she is survived by two daughters, Belinda “Cissie” Knicely (Tom) of FL and Corrina Moore (Joe) of Parkersburg, WV; two sons, David Parkers Jr. (Destiny) of New Creek, WV and Christopher Parker of Keyser, WV; nine grandchildren, Brandy, Ashley, Timothy, Nichole, Cassie, Tamika, Shyann, Desarae, and Bryan; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00, Tuesday, November 12 at Lambert-Tatman South, with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Carol is in peace now and the family would like to give a special thank you to her amazing friends and family, village caregivers, and Amedisys Hospice for the love and care shown to her.
