Carolyn Sue Osborne

Carolyn “Sue” Osborne age 74, of Sandyville, W.Va. passed away October 17, 2015 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, W.Va. She was born February 11, 1941 in Charleston, .Va., a daughter of the late Richard and Jewell Kidd West. Sue had attended Stonewall Jackson High School and had worked at Community Resources Inc. in Ravenswood, W.Va. where she did social work. She had been a high school cook, a cook at the Charleston Civic Center and was a homemaker. Sue enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, fishing, singing, playing instruments and was a wonderful wife, mother and cook.She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stewart E. Osborne; two daughters, Tammy Smith (Roger) of Sandyville, W.Va. and Mandy Joyce (Tim) of Belleville, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Roger Smith (Jill) of Millwood, W.Va., Eric Smith (Viloris) of Ripley, W.Va. and Jeremy Joyce of Belleville; two great-grandchildren, Rogen and Jagger Smith of Millwood; three brothers, Albert West (Rita) of Big Chimney, W.Va.; Richard West II (Donna) of Charleston, W.Va.; and Larry West (Alice) of Elk View, W.Va.; one step-sister, Betty Lattie of Florida.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Annie Osborne; one brother, Buddy Green; and two sisters, JoAnn Knight and Phyllis Wingo.There will be no services or visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 400 Green St., Parkersburg.In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in, memory of Sue, to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 KennawDrive, Charleston, WV. 25311.
